One Maine company is bringing trash(y) back by creating sleek, functional athletic gear from discarded materials.
Dedicated to the idea that one shouldn't have to sacrifice their environmental and social values in order to attain high performance products for an active lifestyle, Atayne has created the first line of sports clothing that allows wearers to express their eco "point of view."
The company collects trash (plastic bottles, old polyester clothing, used shoes, coconut husks, crab shells and race numbers) and turns it into innovative athletic and outdoor gear that patrons can customize with their own earth-friendly message.
