Nuclear power project in Vietnam still on the way

“The National Assembly (NA) has approved the construction of nuclear power plants in the Ninh Thuan province, and the plan has not been changed until now”, said NA Office Chair Tran Dinh Dan.

Dan said that the incident at Japan’s Fukushima nuclear power plant can affect the world nuclear power development strategy. “The incident in Japan will be the lesson for other countries, including Vietnam. The Government and the Prime Minister will pay special attention to the nuclear power projects and safety will be the top priority when the projects are implemented.”
