Linde E1 Electric Go Kart Guiness World Record: 0 to 60 in 3.4 seconds

The Guinness World Record for the fastest electric go kart acceleration was set on April 24 at the Motorsport Arena in Oschersleben, Germany. The go kart accelerated from 0 to 60 mph in 3.4 seconds, creating a new category for the GWR in the process, as such an attempt had never been recorded before.

Organized by the Linde Material Handling company, a German warehouse truck producer, the attempt took place as a part of the Allgemeiner Deutscher Automobil-Club Gran Turismo Masters Weekend, an auto-racing competition supported by the German ADAC automotive club. Source: msnbc
