Stevens Pass Opens First Charging Station at Ski Area in US

The State of Washington has a goal to build the nation's first "EV-Friendly" scenic highway and tourism corridor. As part of the first piece of the puzzle in connecting North Central Washington to Seattle, Stevens Pass Ski Area—popular with Seattle-ites—has installed the first 240 Volt, Level 2 charging stations at any ski area in the United States. To mark their opening, LEAFs from both Wenatchee (east of the Cascades) and Seattle (west of the Cascades) drove up the mountain to be the first to charge there.
