Wall of Smoke & Fire: Raging wildfires leave 'Ghost Towns' in Arizona

The remaining residents of two eastern Arizona towns in the path of a massive wildfire have been ordered to evacuate. The Apache County sheriff ordered everyone still in Springerville and Eagar to leave on Wednesday evening. A massive plume of smoke dominated the skyline as the fire got closer. About seven thousand people live in the towns and surrounding areas, although many already have left. The order came as a spot fire made it past fire lines. A fire spokesman said the flames are not in the towns. The blaze was sparked on May 29 by what authorities believe was an unattended campfire. It became the second-largest in Arizona history.
