Nissan Taps Solar Energy

The Japanese company introduced a system of “super lithium battery” that improves storage. It is part of a plan for optimizing the green cars

Four Nissan Leaf battery models stored electricity generated by solar panels. The test brought enough energy to fully charge 1,800 vehicles per year, the company said. The company vice president, Hideaki Watanabe, said that “the most important for Nissan is to demonstrate solutions through its electric vehicles, step by step.”
