Political leaders in the seventh largest city in the United States are betting that renewable green energy and smart grid technology will stimulate economic growth for decades to come. Mayor Julian Castro thinks San Antonio has the opportunity to seize a mantle that no city in the United States holds, which is standing out of the crowd as a leader in clean energy technology.
