Italy in Second Place in World Solar PV Rankings after Germany

New stats from Gestore dei Servizi Energetici being highlighting by Wind-Works.org show that Italy is now the number two nation in the world for solar photovoltaics. As the world solar PV rankings now stand, Germany still leads the way with approximately 17 GW installed. Spain and Japan are tied for third with 4 GW each. The United States is in fourth place with 3 GW of solar PV (1.25 GW of which is in California). Going futher down the list of solar PV leaders: Czech Republic (2 GW), France (1.5 GW), and China (1 GW).
