Thailand river community

The film tells the story of 13 year old Suwimon Daengniam and 59 year Wali Pejarean who both live along the Samrong Canal, one of the major canals that flows in to the Chao Phraya River in Thailand.

Through their stories we begin to understand how integral the canal is to the the every day lives of the communities who live there, as a source of food, trade and way of life.

However since the textiles factories have moved in, the canal is now suffering from pollution, from dirty toxic water that is being pumped directly from the factories straight into the canal. We hear about the effects this has on the people living there.
