The video features the outstanding test results of twin Torqeedo Cruise 2.0R outboard motors powered by super safe "lithium-imanganese" battery technology on the new Blue Planet 32E catamaran. Watch the video and see how well a 32 foot electric powered catamaran designed for family fun and destination cruising can move so efficiently through the water without burning any fossil fuel.
The video highlights the Torqeedo electric engine testing and demonstrates the easily driven, ecological and ultra-efficient nature of the Blue Planet 32E catamaran. The video also showcases the innovative design and stunning style that makes this recreational multihull vessel so unique. It is not like any other catamaran.
"The boat looks beautiful and the video looks great," said Steve Trkla, President of the North American division of Torqeedo. "We are excited to partner with Blue Planet who has built a family cruising catamaran that is first to market for larger boats running Torqeedo electric outboards."
Blue Planet Catamarans and Torqeedo are setting the environmental standard for family cruising whether it be in open ocean or inland waterways. Both companies are dedicated to respecting the environment and being leaders in marine environmental technology that lowers boat emissions, increases energy efficiency, and reduces waste to preserve our fragile ecosystem.
"The Blue Planet 32E is designed as an emissions free, "home away from home" for weekend getaways on the water and longer journeys to destinations 100 miles away," says Blue Planet owner and designer, Gene Carletta. "It features custom engineered, 32 foot semi-displacement hull forms, built with lightweight composite foam throughout the boat. The semi-enclosed spacious bridge deck creates a super stable sixteen foot beam. It is a very versatile platform that is completely blue water capable. In addition to a port side solar-powered Galley with sink, there is 6'1" of headroom inside the hulls that can sleep a family of six with a shower/head/sink conveniently located in each hull. This boat guarantees a quiet, graceful and smooth riding journey by lake, river, or sea."
