Earlier this year the American University in Cairo (AUC) became the first team in the Middle East or Africa to earn a spot in the Solar Decathlon Europe competition. AUC's Sustainable Living Interactive Design or SLIDES, will be competing against 19 other teams from universities worldwide. SLIDES is an exciting new project in sustainable design and construction that aims to create a fully-functional 21st century home designed to the highest standards of efficiency and environmental sustainability.
