Sinovel Wind Group, China's largest wind power generator manufacturer, announced it will finish production of the country's first independently-developed 6-megawatt wind turbine in June.
The turbine would put Sinovel on a par with Germany's Enercon and Denmark's Vestas in producing the world's most powerful wind generator. Vestas announced earlier this month that it would unveil its first 6-megawatt wind turbine by the end of March. Sinovel started development of a 10-megawatt wind turbine
