Kijk dat schiet op. Vijftig miljard investeren in een enorme dam in de Congo River. Het project moet tweemaal zoveel energie produceren als de Chinese Drieklovendam en de elektriciteitsproductie in Afrika met een derde doen stijgen.
De al bestaande dammen Inga I, II en III zijn klein spul in vergelijking met de Grand Inga, een dam van 205 meter hoog die een waterreservoir van vijftien kilometer lang creëert en een capaciteit van veertig GigaWatt moet bereiken. Dat is meer dan het dubbele van de enorme Drieklovendam in China. De massa energie zal deels uitgevoerd worden naar het buitenland.
