China has announced ambitious plans to boost its offshore wind power sector. According to the Chinese Renewable Energy Industries Association (CREIA), China plans to expand its offshore wind power installed capacity to 5 GW by 2015 and to 30 GW by 2020.
CREIA forecast has come during the Offshore Wind China 2011, a large industrial seminar and exhibition of offshore wind power in Asia that was recent held in east China Shanghai City.
