University Racing Eindhoven: The Electric URE 6

Formula Student is a project for engineering students to design and build a small single seater racing car. The project forms part of their academic studies, and culminates in a competition where teams from all over the world come together to race and compete against each other. Restrictions are placed on the car frame and engine so the students' knowledge, creativity, and imagination are tested.

Formula Student is being organised by the English Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE), as a spin-off of the American Formula SAE, organised by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE). At this moment also the Italian Associazione Tecnica dell'Automobile (ATA) and the German Verein Deutscher Ingenieure (VDI) have held two additional competitions, one in Italy and the other in Germany respectively.
