The Department of Energy (DOE) U.S. announced it will guarantee a loan worth 1,400 million dollars (about 1,000 million dollars) to finance the project Amp, a program created to build 733 megawatts of photovoltaic solar roofs installed in 28 U.S. states.
It is the largest solar project to be developed by the United States, where the goal is to install solar panels on roofs of industrial buildings. The energy generated by the photovoltaic modules are dumped into the net, and not feed the buildings where they have been installed.
