Engineers at Oregon State University in the U.S. have developed a technology that allows solar energy to create devices via inkjet printing. This low cost technology has changed in recent decades in office and home printing, and now also benefit the solar energy sector, because she can make solar cells more cost-efficient and green.
The group of U.S. engineers said that the waste of raw material in these devices is reduced by 90% compared to traditional solar cells, thus providing an important ecological benefit. At the same time, the methodology is able to reduce significantly the cost of producing solar cells.
