Some 15 million people are affected by the crisis in the Sahel region, and one million of these are children that could die within months without immediate humanitarian assistance. This creative video by Miami Ad School students Michael Dooley and Ian Going breaks down the effects of malnutrition on children and explains the challenges that children under the age of 5 are facing.

The governments in these countries in Africa would rather spend money on guns and stuff like that than feed their peoples. Mind you the financial crisis in the west hasn't stopped the huge amounts of money being spent on what they call 'defence'.
Sad indeed. The children suffer for the adults decisions.
Very sad and disheartening. It breaks my heart to see so many children suffering.
Yes I agree. The government needs to be fixed before anything can happen long term.
Thank you for making us aware of what's happening. Truly a sad situation.
This is so upsetting. Thank you for sharing this video.
Thanks all for your comments
It's surprising that a crisis of such a magnitude is getting so little attention. Thanks for getting the message out.
International aid agencies should be on the ground already with this horrific problem. Thank you for shining a light on it!
