Lovely playful patterns in black and white, and the softest fabric you can imagine. This line of limited-edition children’s shirts from Bonkeli, made entirely out of compostable materials according to the design strategy Cradle to Cradle (c2c), is the first of its kind in the world.
The shirts are made of the c2c optimised cotton fabric from the German producer Trigema, the same material introduced in the documentary ”Food=Waste”. This means that once the clothes are worn out, the waste is not regarded as junk.
Throw it onto the compost pile or bury it in your vegetable patch – either way it will end up as valuable nutrients in the life-cycle of nature. The shirts are available from Oiidesign.se and Bonkelidesign.se
