Skoll World Forum on Social Entrepreneurship: Large Scale Change

The Skoll World Forum on Social Entrepreneurship on March 31st and April 1st Oxford, England is the premier, international platform for accelerating entrepreneurial approaches and innovative solutions to the world’s most pressing social issues.

Each year in Oxford, 800 distinguished delegates from the social, finance, private and public sectors convene in Oxford for three days and nights of critical debates, discussions and work sessions aimed at innovating, accelerating and scaling solutions to social challenges. The Skoll World Forum is a program of the Skoll Foundation and is co-produced with the Skoll Centre for Social Entrepreneurship at the Saïd Business School, Oxford University.

The theme for the 2011 Forum is “Large Scale Change – ecosystems, networks and collaborative action.” Social issues have become more global, complex and interrelated than ever before, requiring knowledge, networks and solutions to address. While social innovators continue to drive progress, change at scale requires a shift from disparate players and solutions to an ecosystem approach that removes barriers and engages the full spectrum of actors required for sustainable change.

This year’s programme is organized around core ecosystem drivers of issues, influences, innovations, institutions, ideas and investments. Join fellow delegates for discussion, debate and critical inquiry into what’s needed to pave the way forward.
