TEDxAlcatraz: Drinking Trees by Eben Bayer

Eben said he'd been thinking a lot about how nature's own systems work really well, and may prove to be keys to finding answers to drought-stricken areas such as the Sahara. In "Drinking Trees" Eben explores his inner "Cowness" and stretches our minds again, in a good and legal way. Eben is CEO and co-founder of Ecovative Design, a biomaterials company that uses mycelium (mushrooms) to create alternatives to environmentally-damaging plastics like styrofoam. He has over 20 years of farm experience in Vermont, and degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Product Design.
