Wind electric generating capacity additions declined by nearly half from 2009 to 2010 in the U.S., according to new information released by the American Wind Energy Association (AWEA).
Last year, a total of 5,115 MW of capacity was installed in the U.S., compared to 10,010 MW in 2009. AWEA now estimates the total installed wind capacity to be 40,180 MW.
