De aanleg van een dierproevencentrum in het Limburgse Venray is definitief stopgezet. Dit als gevolg van acties van dierenactivisten.
Het project ScienceLink lag onder vuur van dierenactivisten. De afgelopen tijd demonstreerden activisten tegen ScienceLink. Een van de deelnemende bedrijven, projectmanagementbureau Van der Looy , stapte enkele maanden geleden al uit het project wegens een „onacceptabel dreigende houding” van „groeperingen”. Ook andere bedrijven haakten vervolgens af. Op Nova en de regionale zender L1 verschenen hier filmpjes over.
Het veelbesproken centrum zou gebouwd worden langs de A73. Maar dit gaat nu dus niet door, deze slag is door de activisten gewonnen. En dat is natuurlijk erg goed nieuws voor de dieren!
