Shanghai’s underground theater: The world’s largest

The theater will occupy an area of 650,000 square meters, including 570,000 of which are underground.

Shanghai remains China’s most populous city, with over 20 million inhabitants, which makes it one of the world’s largest cities in terms of population.

The Shanghai underground Cultural Plaza Theater has been under construction for the last four years and together with the Shanghai Grand Theatre and Shanghai Concert Hall, the Plaza will become one of the top three performance venues in Shanghai.
