Bag Your Shoes event is happening now at the Staples Center, Aug. 7th 9th and 12th. If in the LA area be sure to drop by and donate your shoes. All pairs will go to Southern California Goodwill to benefit those in need. Win prizes and a chance to meet the Sparks at a upcoming game!
Waste Management of Los Angeles is teaming up with the Los Angeles Sparks (WNBA) for the 'Bag your Shoes' campaign happening now! They will be collecting new and gently used sneakers and shoes outside Staples Center before and during three Sparks games in August (7t 4:30-6 h, 9th 6:30- 8:00, 12th 6:30-8:00). The collected shoes will be donated to Goodwill Southern California! Fans will receive a gift from WM (biodegradable Sparks/WM shoelaces made from corn fiber) for every pair of shoes donated. They will also be entered for a chance to be Honorary Sparks Coach for a game.
The goal is to collect 1,000 pairs of shoes! Come down and "recycle" your shoes, see you at the game!
