Chile's renewables investment reaches $6.7m

In Chile, the investment in renewable energy projects has reached $6.7m and is expected to produce 2954 MW of capacity, according to a study by Central Energy published by Estrategia.

Wind power tops the investment table. According to estimates, $2.1m is earmarked for the construction of wind farms.

The largest wind farm in the country is currently located in Talinay, in the region of Coquimbo. It generates in the region of 500 MW of electricity, according to the study.
