Vectrix launches urban electric VX-2 scooter

Vectrix LLC, a self-proclaimed world leader in personal electric vehicles, has kicked off the New Year with a bang by introducing its urban commuter; the VX-2 battery-powered scooter. The VX-2 is a slimmed down version of the company's VX-1 and is designed for low-speed travel. Whether that includes around town trips or traversing a college campus, troubled Vectrix insists that the VX-2 is the "perfect machine" for the task.

The VX-2 can hit speeds of up to 30 miles per hour and has a usable range of 40 to 55 miles (depending on terrain, weight of rider, speed, etc.). The VX-2 features a rudimentary regenerative braking system and low-speed reverse operation. Vectrix will ship out each VX-2 with 20 amp battery charger, which plugs into a standard 110 volt wall outlet and fills up the electric scooter's battery pack in less than five hours. Vectric will offer the VX-2 in six colors, including True Blue, Real Red, Mellow Yellow, Clean Green, Bright White, and Slick Black. Pricing for this urban electric two-wheeler has not been announced.
