Kraanspoor Office Building in Amsterdam, The Netherlands by OTH

Dutch architecture firm Ontwerpgroep Trude Hooykaas (OTH) completed this office building reuse of a 1950's crane gantry in 2007. Kraanspoor, which translates to "crane track," is suspended three meters above the existing gantry with a mechanically operated double glass facade, furthering the cloud-like sight of the structure. Catwalks dangle above the water, allowing panoramic views of the shipyard.
