Ali Carr-Chellman: Gaming to re-engage boys in learning

What the compulsory educational school systems effectively do is force students to jump through hoops by subjecting them to imposed rules and obliging them to recount information that has been taken in at face value. I believe that girls enjoy the sense of personal and social affirmation that a good report card and praise from a teacher brings, while boys are inherently turned off by the idea of bending to the will of an often unfair managerial figure.
